Oregano’s reveals Queen Creek staffer tests positive for Covid-19

By Jess Harter Tuesday, May 26, 2020

Oregano’s Pizza Bistro took to social media Monday to announce an employee at its Queen Creek location notified the restaurant Friday they tested positive for Covid-19.

The restaurant says the employee is quarantined at home and doing well.

Oregano’s did not identify the employee or their position, what contact the person may have had with customers and when, or why the restaurant didn’t reveal the news until Monday.

Oregano’s says the employee last worked May 15, when the restaurant only was doing takeout and delivery. Oregano’s reopened its dining room May 18 and says it has been checking employees’ temperatures since then.

The popular Scottsdale-born chain offers Chicago-style pizzas, pasta dishes, sandwiches and salads. It has 21 locations in Arizona and three in Colorado.
