Big news for fans of Buddyz pizza! The Valley’s best Chicago deep-dish is coming to San Tan Valley this fall. The concept’s fourth East Valley pizzeria is taking over the former Ironwood Pub & Grill on the northeast corner of Ironwood and Ocotillo.
Buddyz made its Arizona debut in Queen Creek in 2013, leading a parade of well-known Windy City pizzerias – including Lou Malnati’s, Gino’s East, and Giordano’s – into the Valley.
Buddyz has been the most successful, adding busy locations in Gilbert in 2016 and Ahwatukee in 2017.
The menu offers 18 “landmark” pizzas name-checking Chicagoland attractions, such as the Sears Tower, Daley Plaza, Dearborn Station, Rush Street, and Soldier Field. Pizzas come in three styles: thin crust, butter (traditional) crust, and deep dish.
Look for the San Tan Valley location to open in September.
