Mexican restaurant and patio bar Dos Gringos has permanently closed its Chandler location, the latest blow for the once-popular East Valley chain.
The laid-back cantina, located on Alma School halfway between Warner and Ray, had been temporarily closed since March due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
A pair of Dos Gringos locations near ASU closed about a decade ago, and the flagship Scottsdale location shut down in 2015.
A sibling concept, Bourbon Jacks, saw its Scottsdale location closed in 2017 and its downtown Chandler location sold last year.
Two Dos Gringos remain open – near Priest and Elliot in south Tempe and Greenfield and Baseline in east Mesa.
