Japanese restaurant Shinme Sushi launches in south Chandler

Shinme Sushi, an independent Japanese restaurant, has opened in the former Elevate Martial Arts space on the southwest corner of Gilbert and Queen Creek in south Chandler.

The menu offers 16 signature sushi rolls, as well as entrees like teriyaki shrimp teriyaki and ten spice salmon.

Lunch specials, available 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. weekdays, include a five-piece Shinme lunch ($11.50), a nine-piece Sashimi Deluxe ($13.75), an eight-piece Sushi & Sashimi Lunch ($13.50), and a Maki Roll Special (two for $8 or three for $10.50).

Happy hour runs 2-6 p.m. weekdays (dine-in only) with $1 bottles of Sapporo beers and numerous other food and drink specials.

Shinme is open 11 a.m.-7 p.m. daily.
