Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, a Florida-based chain of frozen dessert shops, has opened its first Arizona location on the southwest corner of Alma School and Ocotillo in south Chandler.
The offerings include Italian ice and soft ice cream in a variety of flavors. The signature menu item is ‘‘gelati,’’ which has alternating layers of Italian ice and ice cream.
Chandler store owners Abbie and John Mirata already are looking for a second location, and Arizona stores from other franchisees are in the works.
Jeremiah’s Italian Ice is open 11 a.m.-8 p.m. daily.
