Blue Adobe Santa Fe Grille has permanently closed its 17-month-old Gilbert location on the northeast corner of Lindsay and Williams Field. The restaurant had been closed since March due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The original Blue Adobe made its debut in downtown Mesa in 2000. A Scottsdale location opened in 2004 under different ownership but with the same menu of traditional New Mexican and Mexican dishes like stacked enchiladas, ‘‘lazy tacos,’’ and carne adovada.
The Scottsdale owners launched the Gilbert location in January 2018 in a strip-mall space that formerly was home to Jimmy’s of Chicago.
