Fast-growing Valley concept Salad and Go launches Tempe location

Salad and Go, a Gilbert-born concept offering a healthy alternative to fast food, has opened its 19th Valley location on the southwest corner of Rural and Broadway in Tempe.

Besides its standard small-footprint eatery – Salad and Go only serves drive-through and walk-up customers – the renovated Applebee’s will have the concept’s first offices, a meeting space, and an R&D kitchen.

Former school teacher Roushaun Cristofellis and her husband, Tony, launched Salad and Go in 2013 after they were unable to find healthy fast-food options in their Gilbert neighborhood.

Salad and Go’s streamlined menu offers chef-created salads (also available as wraps), as well as breakfast burritos and bowls. All of its salads with chicken or tofu are just $5.74 and all drinks are $1.
