Mesa brewpub The Beer Research Institute, which closed July 3 after an employee tested positive for covid-19, has partially reopened after some of the staff tested negative and the venue was deep-sanitized.
BRI will be open from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. the next few days for to-go beer sales. When the remainder of the staff gets their test results, the pub will reopen its bar and dining area.
The partial reopening comes just in time for Wednesday’s can release of BRI’s seasonal Taxation is Theft, an American wheat beer brewed with chamomile flowers and local honey – an homage of sorts to the Boston Tea Party.
As is its custom, BRI will pay the sales tax on all Tax is Theft can purchases.
