Farmboy Market, Meats & Sandwiches in south Chandler has joined a growing list of local restaurants that have decided to close temporarily during the current surge in covid-19 cases in Arizona.
‘‘At Farmboy we have a very small staff, and it is highly likely that some will be exposed to covid-19 over the coming weeks,’’ owner Oren Molovinsky tells MXSW. ‘‘I’d rather be proactive and give them a few weeks to relax and spend time with their families.’’
Molovinsky says he’ll re-evaluate over the next two to six weeks, and then decide whether to reopen partially (delivery and takeout only) or completely (including dine-in).
The restaurant also may undergo some long-desired renovations during the closure.
