Howler’s Restaurant & Sports Bar, a locally owned concept with several Valley locations in the works, holds its soft opening at 4 p.m. today at Gilbert Town Square.
It takes over the 6,300-square-foot building on Gilbert Road between Warner and Ray has been home to numerous failed restaurants in the past decade, including Thirsty Amigos Taco Shop, Steak & Stone, American Taphouse, BoomBozz Pizza, and Boston’s Gourmet Pizza.
Howler’s menu offers burgers, wraps, pastas, and personal pizzas.
A grand opening will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Friday.
Howler’s is owned by Scottsdale-based Group71, which also owns EuroCafe71 in north Scottsdale. Other Howlers locations are planned for Scottsdale and Peoria.
