Farmboy Market, Meats & Sandwiches in Chandler closes permanently

By Jess Harter Monday, August 10, 2020

Farmboy Market, Meats & Sandwiches in south Chandler is the latest East Valley restaurant to succumb to covid-19.

The scratch-kitchen smokehouse temporarily closed four weeks ago to wait out the pandemic. Now, though, owner Oren Molovinsky says Farmboy is closed permanently.

The restaurant, which opened in May 2018 on the southwest corner of Alma School and Queen Creek, featured Arizona-sourced beef and pork, local produce, and bread baked on site from Arizona grains.

A small retail section sold Arizona meats, milk, eggs, fruits, and vegetables.

Molovinsky and his wife plan to open a market at their Chandler urban farm Molovin Farms in October.

They will supplement their own eggs and produce with offerings from Crooked Sky Farms, Danzeisen Dairy, and other local producers.
