Coconut’s Fish Cafe, a Hawaii-based fast-casual seafood chain, has permanently closed its location on the southwest corner of Alma School and Ocotillo in south Chandler.
The eatery, which opened in 2016, had closed in March when the covid-19 pandemic hit the Valley and still is listed as ‘‘temporarily closed’’ on the chain’s website.
However, a company spokesperson tells MXSW: ‘‘Sadly we are forever closed at that location. … We just didn’t have the support we needed to remain open at that spot.’’
Two other Arizona locations – both in Scottsdale – remain open.
