Hair of the Dog, a canine-friendly wine bar and taproom, is coming to the northeast corner of Lindsay and Pecos in south Gilbert. The corner already is home to New Mexican Grill and Henhouse Cafe.
Owners Randy and Marleen Duren still are finalizing their plans, but their website describes the concept as ‘‘a cozy neighborhood bar’’ with ‘‘quality locally made beverages and snacks.’’
And although there are many dog-friendly patios at East Valley restaurants, Hair of the Dog aspires to more.
‘‘People want more than patios for their pups,’’ the website says. ‘‘They want a spot inside, next to them, in an air-conditioned building during the hot summer.’’
An opening is planned for early 2021.
