More than a year after a kitchen fire closed its doors, Clever Koi is set to reopen its downtown Gilbert location this Friday, Oct. 9.
Clever Koi, which features modern twists on classic Asian dishes, debuted in Phoenix in 2013 and opened its second location in Gilbert’s then-new Heritage Marketplace in late 2016.
In August 2019, a fire destroyed the kitchen line, while the entire restaurant suffered smoke damage. It originally was thought repairs only would take several weeks.
