Sweet Republic, the award-winning artisan ice cream shop, opens its third location at noon today at The Watermark on the north side of Tempe Town Lake.
The $150 million mixed-use development is located near the southwest corner of Scottsdale and the 202.
Helen Yung and Jan Wichayanuparp launched Sweet Republic near the 101 and Shea in Scottsdale in 2008, offering a rotating selection of 20-plus handcrafted flavors every day.
A second location opened in Phoenix in 2014.
Sweet Republic’s ice cream has won numerous awards and been featured everywhere from USA Today to Food & Wine magazine to TV’s Food Network.
The Tempe location is open noon-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and noon-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
