The Pizza Experience, a chef-driven concept that promises “no more boring pizza,’’ has opened on the southeast corner of Lindsay and Warner in Gilbert.
It takes over a standalone building that formerly was home to Michael’s Pizza and, before that, Sanfratello’s Pizza.
Seafood pizzas are a house specialty, including a Maui Wowie (shrimp and pineapple), Garlic Shrimp, and Shrimp and Scallop. There’s also a New Mexico-inspired Green Chile Chicken pizza and a Bacon Cheddar Cheese Burger pizza.
Pizzas range in size from 10 to 24 inches.
If you’re not in the mood for pizza, there are options like spaghetti and meatballs, green chile mac and cheese (pictured), chicken alfredo, and an Italian sub.
The Pizza Experience is open 4-9 p.m. Monday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday, and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday. Closed Tuesdays.
