Old Town Scottsdale’s Il Bosco Pizza, whose plans to expand to Gilbert fell through earlier this year, finally has found a spot for its second location on Roosevelt Row in downtown Phoenix.
Back in February, the 8-year-old wood-fired pizzeria planned to take over the Local Eats space on the northwest corner of Higley and Chandler Heights in southeast Gilbert.
Unfortunately, the nearby Papa John’s Pizza wouldn’t give Il Bosco an exemption to its exclusive rights to serve pizza at the shopping center.
Now, Il Bosco has signed a lease for the old Dvina Modern Fare space on the southwest corner of Fifth and Roosevelt. No opening date has been announced.
