Longtime Scottsdale restaurateur Peter Kasperski (pictured) is teaming up with bartender Richie Moe on a new project to replace the short-lived Josephine and Coup de Grace on Roosevelt Row in downtown Phoenix.
According to a scoop by Phoenix Magazine’s Nikki Buchanan, Josephine will become a restaurant called Character, while Coup de Grace behind it will become a speakeasy called Alias.
Kasperski, best-known for the now-defunct Cowboy Ciao in Old Town Scottsdale, says Character’s menu will be “Ciao-esque” but less Southwestern. Binkley’s alum Justin “Red” Hauska will head the kitchen.
Look for Character to open this month and Alias next month.
