Stoop Kid, a New York-style bagel and coffee shop, will open at 7 a.m. Friday in the former Commander Hamburger spot at The Churchill in downtown Phoenix.

Commander Hamburger, a sister restaurant of Citizen Public House and The Gladly, closed in August after less than a year.

Stoop Kid will offer fresh bagels and breakfast sandwiches until 11 a.m., followed by a menu of burgers and bar bites the rest of the day.

Hours are 7 a.m.-close Tuesday-Sunday. Closed Mondays.

The Churchill, a 14,000-square-foot marketplace constructed from shipping containers, is located on the northeast corner of First Street and Garfield.
