Italian-Greek fusion restaurant Kavala closes doors in Gilbert

Kavala Restaurant & Cafe, which combined two popular Mediterranean cuisines ‘‘by cooking Greek dishes the Italian way,’’ has closed on the southeast corner of McQueen and Elliot in northwest Gilbert after just six months in business.

No announcement was made, but the space is empty and the phone disconnected.
