A Mexican street corn shrimp salad (pictured) and a shrimp power bowl are among the January specials announced by Serrano’s Mexican Restaurants:
- Spicy blood orange agave margarita: Blended with sweet and citrusy blood orange puree, a splash of agave and garnished with dried serrano peppers and an orange slice ($7.99);
- Mini taco salads: Bite-size corn cups layered with refried beans, ground beef, shredded romaine, pico de gallo, queso fresco, and cilantro ($8.99);
- Mexican street corn shrimp salad: Crisp romaine, roasted corn, black beans, cotija cheese and pickled red onion topped with achiote grilled shrimp, Tajin-spiced jicama and our house Achiote Vinaigrette ($14.99);
- Shrimp power bowl: Grilled achiote shrimp, spicy cucumber salad, roasted corn, black beans, mango salsa, grilled Mexican vegetables and house-made cilantro lime rice ($15.99);
- Key lime sponge cake: Rich key lime cheesecake layered between fluffy sponge cake, homemade strawberry jam and fresh mangoes ($5.99).
In addition, in an effort to attract earlier diners between the hours of 3-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, happy hour specials are now available throughout the entire restaurant:
- Mini asada sopes: Three mini traditional house-made sopes topped with carne asada, tomatillo salsa, pickled red onions and queso fresco ($7.99);
- Mini taco salads: Bite-size corn cups layered with refried beans, ground beef, shredded romaine, pico de gallo, queso fresco and cilantro ($7.99);
- Mini quesabirria tacos: Three mini corn birria tacos filled with house-made barbacoa, shredded cheese, cilantro and onions ($7.99);
- Stacked quesadilla: Shredded pork slow-braised in tomatillo salsa and layered with queso fresco and refried beans in your choice of corn or flour tortillas ($7.99);
- House margaritas/well drinks ($5);
