Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken, a legendary Memphis-based chain known for its signature hot and spicy coating, makes its Arizona debut today in downtown Mesa.
It’s located between Worth Takeaway sandwich shop and Oro Brewing Company on the north side of Main Street.
Founded in 1984, Gus’s has received numerous honors, including being named the best fried chicken in America by Forbes and one of the 10 best meals in America by GQ.
Gus’s is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Driday-Saturday.
