Cotton & Copper, one of the Valley’s most acclaimed restaurants, is the latest victim of the covid-19 pandemic.
‘‘The last year has been a true struggle,’’ the 2-year-old south Tempe gastropub posted on social media Wednesday night. ‘‘The persistence of covid has made it painfully obvious we won’t be in the clear anytime soon.’’
Next weekend will be Cotton & Copper’s last, but co-owners Sean Traynor and Tamara Stanger will introduce a new concept, an all-day cafe called Shape Shifter, in the same space.
