Pedal Haus Brewery hosts week-long pizza contest to benefit local dog rescues

Pedal Haus Brewery founders Julian Wright and Derek ‘‘Doc’’ Osborne kick off a week-long pizza competition today to benefit two Valley dog rescues.

The pair will be making and selling their own specialty pizzas from 4-7 p.m. today at the downtown Tempe brewpub.

Wright created a pulled pork and peppadew pepper pizza, while Osborne countered with a spicy-sweet pepperoni and soppressata pie.

Whichever racks up more sales by next Tuesday – which is National Pizza Day – will earn a donation to the dog charity of the winner’s choice.
