Cream of the Crop ice cream shop opens inside Barnone in Gilbert

Cream of the Crop, a self-described ‘‘neighborhood scoop shop’’ featuring house-made ice creams and toppings, has opened inside Barnone at Agritopia on the northwest corner of Higley and Ray in Gilbert.

Creative flavors include Agritopia date with smoked hay and orange blossom, rice and cinnamon, Mythical Coffee with espresso beans (pictured), and Banoffee pie.

Owners are James Johnston, who also owns Fire & Brimstone at Barnone, and Matt Celaya.

Cream of the Crop is open noon to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
