Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux to make AZ debut in southeast Mesa

By Jess Harter Monday, February 15, 2021

Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, a Louisiana-based chain of family-friendly sports bars, will make its Arizona debut in southeast Mesa later this year.

It’s taking over the former Sweet Tomatoes building near Ray and the 202.

Walk-On’s was founded in Baton Rouge, La., in 2003 by Brandon Landry, a former walk-on basketball player at Louisiana State University.

Besides traditional burgers and sandwiches, Walk-On’s menu offers numerous Louisiana-inspired specialities like blackened catfish, shrimp and grits, and crawfish.

The signature dessert is Krispy Kreme bread pudding.

No opening date has been announced.
