The Brickyard Downtown in downtown Chandler reopens at 3 p.m. today for the first time since the tragic death of its beverage director last week.
Bobby Kramer, 31, was killed last Wednesday by a wrong-way driver on I-10. He left behind a wife and 2-year-old son.
Kramer helped general manager and co-owner Gavin Jacobs launch the cozy restaurant and bar in 2016, as well as its larger sibling, The Hidden House, in 2019.
‘‘(Bobby) taught us how to love what you do – but love people more,’’ The Brickyard posted on its website. ‘‘Bobby taught us that the greatest cocktail we could have is a cocktail with friends.’’
A Facebook fundraiser to help Kramer’s family with unexpected end-of-life expenses has raised more than $100,000 so far.
