Chicken Ziti and Tortellini Gianni (pictured) will be the featured entrees when Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25.
The dinner, hosted by owner-chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, is held in a private dining room with social distancing. The five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu also are available to go from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
This week’s selections:
- Eggplant Cappicola: Ham cappicola, provolone, and eggplant battered and fried;
- Teriyaki Chicken Salad: Black beans, cilantro, tomatoes, onions, avocado, feta, and lemon tossed together over romaine and served with chicken sautéed in teriyaki sauce;
- Chicken Ziti: Artichoke hearts, onions, chicken, and ziti noodles baked in creamy ricotta sauce and topped with provolone;
- Tortellini Gianni: Italian sausage, cheese-filled tortellini, scallions, fresh garlic, mushrooms, and sun-dried tomatoes in marsala cream sauce;
- Mocha Espresso Brownies: Rich chocolaty brownies spiked with Greek coffee, kahlua, and walnuts.
Cost is $39 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes (or a bottle of wine to go) for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
