Herb n Smoke, a Mesa-based food truck specializing in barbecue, has opened a bricks-and-mortar restaurant in downtown Mesa.
It’s located next to Taco Chiwas on the south side of Main between MacDonald and Robson.
The brisket, smoked 12 hours with mesquite, pecan, and a touch of coffee, is the star of the menu. A sandwich with a side of hand-cut fries is $13.
A few of the other temptations:
- Porky Cheese Sandwich: Pulled pork with house mac ānā cheese and BBQ sauce;
- Smokey Burger: Fresh Angus beef patty topped with brisket;
- Nopales Street Tacos: Prickly pear cactus with house Sriracha creme on corn tortillas;
- BBQ Chicken Quarter: Comes with cole slaw and choice of fries of mac ānā cheese.
Hours are 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday-Wednesday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday, and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday. Closed Sundays.
Herb n Smoke will walk over orders to downtown neighbors Cider Corps, Oro Brewing, and Chupacabra Taproom.
