Serrano’s March specials include nachos in a bag & Sonoran hot dog

March specials at Serrano’s Mexican Restaurants give Cactus League baseball fans some south-of-the-border twists like nachos in a bag and Sonoran hot dogs:

• Mangonada: Mango margarita mixed with chamoy and served in a Tajin-rimmed glass ($6.99);
• Nachos in a Bag: Chili beans layered on crispy corn chips, topped with ground beef, red enchilada sauce, shredded cheese, and cilantro, and served up in a bag ($7.99);
• Serrano’s Fiesta Salad: Romaine lettuce topped with colorful vegetables, hard-boiled egg, crispy bacon, and tortilla strips ($10.99, or $15.24 with grilled chicken or steak);
• Sonoran Hot Dog: Serrano’s style with a quarter-pound hot dog topped with bean dip, tomatoes, fire-roasted corn, grilled onions, crispy bacon, cotija cheese, fresh crema, and guacamole ($9.99);
• Peach Tres Leches: Milk-soaked sponge cake, house-made drunken peach jam, whipped cream, topped with toasted coconut and served in a jar ($5.99).

Serrano’s has two locations in Mesa and one in downtown Chandler. The Tempe location is closed for remodeling.
