Southern California-based fast-casual burger concept Farmer Boys makes its Arizona debut today in the new City Gate Marketplace on the southeast corner of Higley and Baseline in Gilbert.
The chain’s signature Farmer’s Burger features two beef patties topped with cheese, smoked bacon, hand-smashed avocado, veggies, and Thousand Island dressing on a sesame seed bun.
Besides burgers, Farmer Boys offers all-day breakfast, sandwiches, salads, and more.
Zucchini and onion rings are sliced and breaded by hand. Salads are hand-chopped. Dressings are house-made.
Two more Valley locations – at Rio Salado and Perry near Tempe Marketplace and 83rd Avenue and Buckeye in west Phoenix – are scheduled to open late this year or in early 2022.
The concept, founded in 1981 by five brothers raised on a family farm, has nearly 100 locations in California and Nevada.
