Boondocks Patio & Grill, a popular Old Town Scottsdale indoor-outdoor hangout for the past seven years, is opening a second location in Tempe.
It’s taking over the former Prankster’s Gar & Brill, which closed in 2018 after 33 years, on the northeast corner of Rural and Broadway.
Boondocks’ menu features salads, sandwiches, burgers, tacos, and more. The bar offers specialty cocktails known as ‘‘docktails.’’
It also has live music, a variety of bar games, and one of Scottsdale’s largest climate-controlled patios.
No date has been announced for the opening of the Tempe location.
