Vasco De Gama and Milanesa will be the featured entrees when Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 11.
The dinner, hosted by owner-chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, is held in a private dining room with social distancing. The five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu also are available to go from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
This week’s selections:
- Romeo’s Choice Skins: Italian sausage, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and provolone, served with yogurt dressing;
- Ravioli Salad: Deep-fried cheese-filled ravioli mixed with Romano-parmesan, black olives, bell peppers, tomatoes, Genoa salami, hearts of palm, peas, and red onions, tossed in mustard vinaigrette dressing;
- Vasco De Gama: Sautéed chicken and shrimp with carrots, mushrooms, green onions, and sun-dried tomatoes in a creamy curry-mustard seed sauce with bowtie pasta and pistachios;
- Milanesa: Lightly breaded pan-fried pork cutlets with garlic mashed potatoes, roasted pepper, and garlic jardinière;
- Fantasy Cake: Layers of cheesecake, chocolate mousse, and Devil’s Food cake finished with dark chocolate and ground pistachios.
