Oregon-based Black Rock Coffee opens its 17th Valley store at 5 a.m. Friday on the north side of Broadway, halfway between Priest and Hardy, in Tempe.
To celebrate, the new location will be offering $2 medium coffee drinks all day. Store hours are 5 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.
Black Rock made its Arizona debut in Chandler in 2016. Nine of its locations are in the East Valley.
