Pollo del Fuego and Veal Pirata will be the featured entrees when Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 18.
The dinner, hosted by owner-chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, is held in a private dining room with social distancing. The five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu also are available to go from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
This week’s selections:
- Nick’s Favorite Pizza: A slice with artichoke hearts, feta cheese, potatoes, hearts of palm, and bacon;
- Balsamic Steak Salad: Grilled steak tossed in EVOO and balsamic vinegar with roasted red peppers, scallions, tomatoes, mushrooms, red cabbage, artichoke hearts, sunflower seeds, and mixed greens;
- Pollo del Fuego: Sauteed chicken, spicy peppers, creamy sauce, and penne rigate;
- Veal Pirata: Nut-encrusted veal shoulder scaloppini with sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, red peppers, asparagus, capers, and roasted garlic in a marsala cream over linguini;
- Cherry Cordial Tart (pictured): Amarena cherries chocolate tart.
Cost is $39 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes (or a bottle of wine to go) for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
