Tempe-based Pedal Haus Brewery, which expanded to downtown Chandler last year, now is joining the burgeoning craft beer scene in downtown Mesa.
The brewpub will open its third satellite location in the former Pit Stop auto body shop on the southwest corner of Main and Robson, a couple blocks west of the Mesa Arts Center.
That means a half-mile stretch of Main Street will include Pedal Haus, the just-announced Beer Research Institute Taproom & Old School Arcade, Oro Brewing, 12 West Brewing, Desert Eagle Brewing, Chupacabra Taproom, and Cider Corps.
Pedal Haus was founded on Mill Avenue in downtown Tempe in 2015 by restaurateur Julian Wright and brewmaster Derek ”Doc” Osborne.
It launched its first satellite location in downtown Chandler in February 2020, and soon will launch another on Roosevelt Row in downtown Phoenix.
The Mesa location will be the brewery’s first “biergarten” concept with a 6,000-square-foot, dog-friendly patio with an indoor-outdoor bar, fire pits, and a stage for live music.
The interior will be 2,300 square feet.
Like the other satellite locations, it will serve Pedal Haus’ full lineup of award-winning beers, although production will remain at the Tempe original.
The food menu will include Pedal Haus’ signature dishes such as “haus”-smoked wings, Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese and maple butter, Nashville Hot Chicken sandwiches, Von Hanson’s bratwursts, and its popular burgers.
Look for the Mesa location to open late this year.
