It’ll be another three weeks or so until The Perch Pub & Brewery unveils its amazing rooftop patio expansion. In the meantime, though, the downtown Chandler hotspot is preparing to launch another project.
The Aviary, a shaded beer garden (artist’s renderings shown above) with games and a stage for live music, is scheduled to open next March in The Perch’s current parking lot fronting Arizona Avenue.
(An aviary is an enclosure for birds, keeping it in line with the theme of The Perch, which took its name from its on-site bird sanctuary.)
Perch beers will be served out of the brewpub’s Airstream trailer at The Aviary. Food will be available from The Perch, and there will be a spot for visiting food trucks.
The city is planning extensive street work in the downtown area this summer, after which The Aviary will begin construction.
