Mostaccioli Secundo and Sun Flower Beef (pictured) will be the featured entrees when Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 25.
The dinner, hosted by owner-chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, is held in a private dining room with social distancing. The five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu also are available to go from 6-7 p.m.
This week’s selections:
- Spicy Lamb Potatoes: Gyros meat and potatoes with herbs and spices, hand-formed and deep fried;
- Antipasto Salad: Genoa salami, ham cappicola, pepperoni, Swiss and provolone cheeses, and fresh and marinated vegetables on a bed of lettuce with Italian dressing;
- Mostaccioli Secundo: Artichoke hearts and onions sautéed with pasta tubes in a creamy ricotta cheese sauce, baked with mozzarella cheese;
- Sun Flower Beef: Steak strips, green onions, red peppers, portobello mushrooms, sunflower seeds, and capers in teriyaki sauce over brown rice;
- Cheesecake Brownies: Rich chocolaty cream cheese brownies with coconut and pecans.
Cost is $39 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes (or a bottle of wine to go) for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
