March 25: ‘Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe’ dinner in downtown Gilbert

Mostaccioli Secundo and Sun Flower Beef (pictured) will be the featured entrees when Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 25.

The dinner, hosted by owner-chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, is held in a private dining room with social distancing. The five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu also are available to go from 6-7 p.m.

This week’s selections:

  • Spicy Lamb Potatoes: Gyros meat and potatoes with herbs and spices, hand-formed and deep fried;
  • Antipasto Salad: Genoa salami, ham cappicola, pepperoni, Swiss and provolone cheeses, and fresh and marinated vegetables on a bed of lettuce with Italian dressing;
  • Mostaccioli Secundo: Artichoke hearts and onions sautéed with pasta tubes in a creamy ricotta cheese sauce, baked with mozzarella cheese;
  • Sun Flower Beef: Steak strips, green onions, red peppers, portobello mushrooms, sunflower seeds, and capers in teriyaki sauce over brown rice;
  • Cheesecake Brownies: Rich chocolaty cream cheese brownies with coconut and pecans.

Cost is $39 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes (or a bottle of wine to go) for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
