Tuck Shop, a well-regarded restaurant in Phoenix’s Coronado neighborhood that’s been closed for months due to the pandemic, will not be reopening.
Phoenix vegan restaurant The Coronado will move into the space on the southeast corner of 12th Street and Oak this summer.
Valley restaurateur D.J. Fernandes opened Tuck Shop (pictured) in 2008. Its menu offered creative takes on comfort foods, such as citrus-brined chicken with white cheddar waffles.
Fernandes sold the restaurant to Grace Unger and her True North Studio group in 2016.
The Coronado, currently located in a house on the northeast corner of Seventh Street and Monte Vista, had been looking for a new space in order to expand its menu.
Until this summer, it will remain operating out of its present location.
