Honolulu-based Ono Hawaiian BBQ, known for its island-inspired plate lunches, has opened its second East Valley location on the northeast corner of Val Vista and Pecos in Gilbert.
Ono’s specialties include Hawaiian BBQ chicken, grilled spam, kalua pork, and crispy shrimp. Plates come with two scoops of rice, a scoop of macaroni salad, and vegetables.
The other East Valley location is on the southwest corner of Power and the Loop 202 in southeast Mesa.
Additional locations are planned for Tempe and Mesa Riverview.
Ono Hawaiian BBQ is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
