Cider Corps in Mesa named 5th-best cidery in U.S. in USA Today contest

Cider Corps in downtown Mesa is the fifth-best cidery – out of more than 800 – in the United States according to USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice contest.

A panel of experts and 10Best editors picked the initial nominees for the contest, and then the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote. The contest ran from Feb. 16-March 16.

East Valley native Jason Duren started making cider as a hobby while he recovered from two traumatic brain injuries sustained while serving in Afghanistan.

After going back to school to earn a degree in sustainable horticulture, he and his brother, Josh, opened Cider Corps in 2017.
