Flower Child ‘ghost kitchen’ near downtown Tempe shuts down

The experimental virtual version of Flower Child, which opened in January near downtown Tempe, already has been shut down.

The ‘‘ghost kitchen’’ offered delivery and takeout only out of the kitchen at Fox Restaurant Concepts sibling Culinary Dropout on the southeast corner of Farmer and First Avenue.

Now, however, the virtual location has been removed from the Flower Child website.

‘‘Our Flower Child pop-up at Culinary Dropout Tempe came to an end on Tuesday, March 30th,’’ says FRC vice-president of marketing Anita Walker.

‘‘The digital-forward  experience helped us understand what the future of Flower Child can be. We learned how to leverage technology to create the best experience for Flower Child guests.’’

Besides a previously reported full version of Flower Child coming to Gilbert (see story), another full version is planned for Tempe, Walker says.
