Salmon La Scala and Paella Barcelona (pictured) will be the featured entrees when Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 8.
The dinner, hosted by owner-chef Romeo Taus (pictured) and his wife, Janice, is held in a private dining room with social distancing. The five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu also are available to go from 6-7 p.m.
This week’s selections:
- Portobellini: Grilled portobello mushroom with roasted peppers, basil pesto, garlic, and Kasseri cheese;
- Kale Panzanella Salad: Cucumbers, tomatoes, red and green onions, red bell peppers, capers, marinated artichoke heart, toasted bread, Dijon vinaigrette, and shredded kale;
- Salmon La Scala: Salmon filet grilled with fresh dill and balsamic vinegar, served with sautéed roasted red peppers, red bell peppers, crushed red pepper, capers, and pine nuts;
- Paella Barcelona: Shrimp, chicken, clams, Italian sausage, hearts of artichoke and palm, spinach, red bell peppers, onions, roasted whole garlic, tomatoes, and brown rice;
- La Bete Noire: Dark chocolate flourless cake.
Cost is $39 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes (or a bottle of wine to go) for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
