Award-winning chef Nobuo Fukuda finally has confirmed what many have feared: His acclaimed Nobuo at Teeter House, closed by the covid-19 pandemic since March 2020, will not reopen.

Fukuda, who was named Best Chef Southwest in the 2007 James Beard Awards while at Sea Saw sushi bar in Old Town Scottsdale, opened his own eponymous modern Japanese restaurant in downtown Phoenix in 2010.

Nobuo at Teeter House was best-known for its multi-course omakase (chef’s choice) meals available by reservation only.
