Is the so-called ‘‘Asian Corridor’’ through Mesa and Chandler finally reaching a saturation point? Four-year-old Korea Mart, citing increased competition, is closing.
The shopping center opened in the Three Fountains Plaza on Longmore south of Southern – just west of the former Fiesta Mall – in April 2017.
The closure comes less than a year after Korean megastore H Mart opened just a few miles away at Dobson and Main in Mesa.
Other nearby Asian shopping centers in west Mesa include Asiana Market, Mekong Supermarket, and AZ International Marketplace.
