Back in March, MXSW reported James Beard Award-winning chef Alex Stratta was retooling his short-lived Stratta Kitchen in Scottsdale into a concept called Campo Italian.
What we didn’t know at the time was the restaurant would be part of Genuine Concepts, the Phoenix-based group behind The Vig, Ladera, The Little Woody, and others.
Stratta and Genuine Concepts chef Jeremy Pacheco are creating a Campo menu anchored by wood-fired pizzas, pocket sandwiches, and handmade pastas.
The restaurant, located at The Village at Hayden on the northwest corner of Hayden and Via de Ventura, is on course to open by the end of this month.
