Schmear Bagelry & Cafe in Queen Creek to close Saturday after 2 years

Schmear Bagelry & Cafe, Queen Creek’s first bagel shop, announced it will close Saturday after two years in business.

Owners Matt and Lindsay Aronson shared the news on social media:

‘‘There are many factors that have contributed to this decision,’’ they write. ‘‘Our family is dealing with some health issues that will prevent us from continuing Schmear.’’

Last year, Schmear was honored as Emerging Business of the Year by the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce.

Schmear is located on the northwest corner of Ellsworth Road and Victoria Lane.
