5th Street Burgers & Fries, which began as a takeout-only ghost kitchen concept, has opened a bricks-and-mortar restaurant on the northeast corner of Priest and Washington in northwest Tempe.
It takes over the space that formerly was home to Mediterranean eatery Sami’s Gyros.
Besides 19 specialty burgers and seven kinds of loaded fries, 5th Street’s menu features sliders, sandwiches, wraps, bowls, and chicken tenders.
Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Closed Sundays.
