Eegee’s to hold weekend job fair to prepare for July opening in Gilbert

Tucson-based Eegee’s return to the Valley will happen next month, and the company is looking to hire 60 people to work at the Gilbert restaurant.

The chain, which unsuccessfully tried to establish a foothold in the Valley in the 1980s, currently has 24 stores in Tucson and one in Casa Grande.

Although its menu offers grinders, fries, and salads, Eegee’s is best-known for its frozen fruit drinks.

Job candidates can visit the Gilbert restaurant near the southwest corner of Val Vista and Baseline from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, June 12, or Sunday, June 13, for a guaranteed interview.

Available positions include cashiers, cooks, and general managers in-training.
